There is no doubt that the Earth's climate is constantly changing. Some people feel that it is part of the normal cycle of events on the planet. However, most scientists agree that there are drastic changes that occur due to unnatural global warming.

The weather is getting warmer. Mostly, the United States has warmed up. In some places, the temperature rise averages around four degrees Fahrenheit. However, all states show some degree of warming.

The first and second hottest years in the record are 1998 and 2006, respectively. In fact, every year from the first year to the second warmest year, ranking in the 25 warmest years in the US. In 2006, the average annual temperature was 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Recent warm years show climate change caused by global warming.

Climate change due to global warming can be seen in the prevalence of drought. The year has become drier in recent decades due to global warming. This is caused by heat accumulating around the surface of the earth. Excessive evaporation increases drought during the spring and fall.

Global warming has increased the level of drought. Major droughts in the US lasted from 1999-2002. There have only been two other droughts in the past forty years that have been so extensive and devastating. Plants are damaged or do not want to grow at all, thus shortening food supplies.

There have been more droughts in the West in recent years. The last 30 years have experienced a lot of drought in particular. This drought has triggered forest fires which set a new record in 2006 for the number of fires and hectares that were burned. Further evidence of global warming is seen in this destructive forest fire.

While the overall effect of global warming is heat followed by drought, there are still storms. Because global warming energizes the atmosphere, this storm will be different. When all goes well, gentle rain will seep into the earth gradually, causing no more than a small inconvenience to humans.

Because of global warming, storms are becoming more destructive. Even though drought is certain, the total rainfall has increased in the past century. This surprising fact is caused by the fact that when the rain comes, heavy rain comes quickly. The sky is open and throws water into the earth very quickly in many cases. This is followed by a dry period.

The amount of rain in a year has increased over the past 50 years due to global warming. What's more, global warming is causing more intense storms. A storm that may have been an ordinary storm in the past turned into a raging storm. Storms have been rated higher in recent years because global warming has affected its intensity.

Global warming is responsible for many climate change. Often, people cause an increase in global warming that triggers this change. If people can make it a common goal to reduce activities that encourage global warming, the earth will be a much more stable environment.
